LUTHER'S LARGE CATECHISM
The Large Catechism is a masterpiece of doctrine that clearly explains the basic tenets of Luther's theology. Luther intended it for the instruction of everyone from children to adults. Cannot recommend this enough.
THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS
The ScrewTape Letters is a great fictional book about the worldly-wise old devil and his nephew Wormwood. This book gives insight into some of the ways in which the devil and our flesh want to get into our thought life, but also how the Christian can triumph. It's both relatable and humorous.
HANDLING THE WORD OF TRUTH - LAW AND GOSPEL IN THE CHURCH TODAY
This book draws on C. F. W. Walthers Law and Gospel theses to present and apply these foundational truths to contemporary Christian faith and living.
